At the Beach

What better way to spend the summer than at the beach?

We just took a trip to Pine Knoll Shores on Emerald Isle to film a promotional video for an oceanfront condo. The first afternoon was a bit overcast, but luckily the clouds started breaking up in the evening and gave a spectacular sunset! This trip added a lot to our library of stock footage.

We also used this opportunity to practice using our new moving camera stabilizer. We can now get much smoother sweeping shots with our Glidecam HD-4000. Check out some of the cool reveals around the apartment in the video.

Fitness World Interview with Aimee

Fitness World has begun a campaign of inspirational stories to help inspire people to get active and improve their health. The hardest part of getting active can be getting started. We chose Aimee and her husband as the focus of our first video. Aimee set a goal at the beginning of the year to lose 100 pounds in 12 months. After only 3 months she had already lost 50 pounds! Already an inspiration to everyone around her, we wanted to share Aimee's story.

New Website


Our web development team has been working furiously for the past couple weeks to produce a brand new, made-from-scratch website to provide users with a beautiful and sleek way to watch our videos and get to know us. Going into this new design, we had a few main goals we sought to accomplish:
  1. Impress - we want anyone who stumbles across the site to be blown away both visually, and with our credibility. As a video company, we want to use video in all aspects of the site, to show potential customers and business partners what we can do.
  2. Inform - we want to provide not simply beautiful images and videos, but concrete information about who we are and what we can offer.
  3. Engage (so it doesn't start with 'I', but it sounds pretty close..) - we want to find people with video needs and work with them to develop the optimal solution.

SmartKage Instructional Videos

We just completed filming and editing 45 Baseball Instructional Videos with Mike Roberts for SmartSports' new SmartKage™technology.

SmartKage™is a system that measures a baseball player's skill level in many areas, including fielding, hitting, pitching, base running, and much more. The system provides quantitative feedback to help players learn strengths and weaknesses, enabling them to see how they stack up against the rest of the nation. It's the SAT® for baseball. SmartKage™ is designed not just to provide players with these metrics, but also avenues for strengthening weaker skills and learning drills to improve in each area of the game. That's where we come in. Point-5 has produced 45 short videos for SmartKage™, each providing practical steps and insight to approach a weaker skill. If a player is tested at SmartKage™they will receive an evaluation showing their areas of strengths and weaknesses. They will then be able to access these videos to help them improve their game. Each instructional video is taught by our very own, Mike Roberts. In quick 1-2 minute lessons Roberts gives you many different ways to improve every area of your game.
